What hostio is

One business, one customer portal, clear rules

hostio is a brand of Norbert Bartus, sole proprietor (NB-Fullstack, Germany). We offer hosting for websites, email accounts on your own domain, and domains with .hu and 84 other extensions.

Our aim is that small business owners and private individuals can handle the background of their website in plain language: ordering, invoices, the domain and their questions. For this we provide a single customer portal in which all labels and guides are in Hungarian; the portal is not yet available in English.

We do not display customer counts, ratings, awards or “guaranteed” uptime. Instead, we describe exactly the prices (including renewal), how billing works and how to cancel, so that you have every detail you need to decide.

What you get with us – and what you don’t

The “no” column matters as much as the “yes” column: it lets you decide in advance whether hostio is right for you.

What you get

  • Enhance control panel for websites, databases and email, one click away from the customer portal.
  • Free Let’s Encrypt SSL in every plan, renewed automatically.
  • WordPress installer in the control panel, no extra software needed.
  • Mailboxes on your own domain (Start 5, Plus 20, Pro 50), with webmail.
  • Two-factor authentication in both the customer portal and the control panel.
  • Knowledge base and ticket system (in Hungarian): guides and written support in one place.
  • A public status page that also states the limits of its measurements.

What you don’t get (at the moment)

  • A numeric availability guarantee (SLA). The plan descriptions do not include one.
  • Customer data backups. You are responsible for backing up your own files, databases and emails (Terms, “Data backup” section).
  • Round-the-clock support. On working days we try to reply as soon as possible.
  • Self-service plan changes in the portal. We do these for you on request.
  • A DNS editor in the customer portal. The primary name server can be changed in the portal; we handle the rest on request.
  • Your own server (VPS) or dedicated resources. We offer shared hosting.
  • An English-language portal. The customer portal, knowledge base and Terms are currently in Hungarian only.

Anyone comfortable with Hungarian

The customer portal and knowledge base are in Hungarian. The guides give the control panel menus in both English and Hungarian.

Who we don’t recommend it for

High-traffic online shops, projects that need guaranteed availability or round-the-clock support, and anyone who needs their own server (root access).

Our principles

What we commit to for every customer

    Transparent net prices

    All prices are net, in euros. For domains, the renewal price is published alongside the first year, and the hosting fee does not change on renewal.

    No hidden fees

    There are no setup or activation fees. What you pay is itemised in the basket before you order and on the invoice afterwards.

  3. 3

    Cancellation on one page

    You can terminate the contract at any time on the cancellation page (in Hungarian), without logging in or phoning, with an email confirmation.

  4. 4

    Only true statements

    No made-up reviews, logos or “guaranteed” figures – and this website uses no cookies or tracking code.
